i street 2 by ~almiller is both surreal and quirky, taking a new perspective on familiar surroundings expressed through a smoky ambiance and the unique textures of the street (literally). ( Suggested by ami-89 and Featured by opioid )

Thanks mate. Shot from a small ladder with a focal length of 23mm (16-35mm lens on a full frame camera). Probably around 2m height.

I think this could have been more effective with a view from directly above the model.

The illusion of skateboarding upright is broken too quickly from this angle.

Wish I had a crane but hanging off a small ladder was the only option. But I agree with you. Cheers

It's funny, I find this very interesting but for a little bit different reason than others...it doesn't seem quite as obvious to me that it's a 2D-imitation of jumping from building to building, although I certainly saw that at first glance. This piece had some grim undertones to it because the person's face is kind of pale and shadowy. The shadow made it clearer he was lying on the ground, and he was facing the road....it almost looked like he got hit by cars and was lying dead, still in the same spunky modern pose that says 'today's young person'. So...I guess it seemed like the picture had a double meaning to it, which I thought cool, if sad and dark.

Probably wasn't what you intended, but that's how it seemed to me, and I thought you might be interested in a different view of it.

awesome shot!!
very dynamic and surreal picture at once... i like the way it seems like hes jumping from those outlines forming the top of an imaginery building, but at the same time you know hes lying on the ground...

nice ipod btw...

I like the juxtaposition onto the road, it keeps the motion while it brings up association with dead body outlines in forensic shots., very surreal.
